In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the movie, some very exciting things are happening with this license. Mezco Toyz will create a five-figure assortment of some very cool action figures, these figures rock dead-on likeness, plenty of ?attitude articulation? and tons of accessories. The figures will be packaged in a stylish and collector friendly clamshell package that can be J hooked or shelf displayed. Famed video game developer, Rock Star Games, will be releasing a hot new video game based on the same property. Both the figures and video game are slated for release in Spring 2005.

Well, it is a bummer that they are the cartooney Mezco style, but they rock none the less. They shall all be mine!
The Warriors have been a LONG time request from me, and a film I have wanted action figures from since I was a kid.

I think Mezco are boneheads for the most part. I don't really like much of anything they have ever put up, and this styalized crap has got to go. They must not be too into sales figures either, because being this cartoony style will definitely lose sales.
I still can't help but be excited for thise line though. Luther looks awesome!

Mezco did an excellent job on the Hellboy figs, they know how to do regular action figures well, and they aren't stupid enough to pass that opportunity up on something like Scarface...
Didja ever think that doing "charicatures" might get them around licensing issues that other companies have run into trying to get these properties made?
And... they sell. Obviously they aren't for everyone, but Scarface is flying off the shelves... Blues Brothers are moving pretty well, and Animal House had a couple pegwarmers but mostly avoided clearance... unlike pretty much everything McF has been doing lately.
Personally, i love the cartoony style, although 'the warriors' defines 'lame' imo...

you are a very silly man, jor.
and I like you that way.
agreed on the "beholder" thing.
I just think that if yer gonna make cartoon-like figs, stick to cartoon properties...
as for how McF stuff is selling, well, I got my own ideas aboot that.
